Good Deals

DC is not a cheap place to visit. So, we found some deals that you might have missed in your planning efforts.

Half Price  Sushi Deal – Ellen McC., a Smithsonian American Art Museum Docent, says she loves to swing into The Hamilton for half price sushi available everyday from 3-6pm.  Grab some happy hour drink deals and make it a light meal or check out their terrific full menu.  Perhaps hang around for their two affordable (sometimes free) live music venues.  A reservation is always a good idea. To get there, walk about 7 blocks from The Mayflower or jump on Metro’s Red line and get off at Metro Center. Walk 3 blocks and you’re there.

The Pig’s Bourbon Happy Hour – Every day of the week (Mon-Thur 4-7pm, Fri-Sun 3-7pm)!  Each week  a different bourbon flight is featured. This week it was Bulleit 10 Year, High West Campfire and Knob Creek Straight Rye for $14. Everyone in your group not a bourbon lover? They have clever cocktails at Happy Hour prices along with beer, wine and almost meal sized snacks. It’s about a 15 minute walk away. Feeling lazy? Grab an Uber or Lyft.
