The Rabbit hOle is a new museum experience opening in Kansas City in 2023 where children’s books come to life and visitors become explorers in a literary wonderland. Come learn about the first American artist to be feature on the cover of Time Magazine:Thomas Hart Benton. The tour will begin at the Nelson-Atkins Museum which holds the largest public collection of his art. There in front of his paintings, Stephanie Fox Knappe, curator of American Art, will lead us in discovering Benton’s style, techniques and uniquely American subject matters.

TOYS, MINIATURES AND RARE BOOKS

Visit the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures and step back into time and your childhood. This museum is home to the world’s largest collection of fine scale miniatures and one of the largest collections of historic toys currently on public display. After a docent-led tour, you can create your own miniature with a hands-on activity. Time will be allowed for a quick stop in the museum’s gift shop.
